Papa Johnís Opens New Suffolk Store
Fast-food franchise Papa Johnís will be delivering fresh pizza to a new customer base in Bury St Edmonds.
Papa Johnís latest store is set to be opened by budding franchisee Syead Anjum, who already runs a neighbouring store in Norwich. Syeadís new opening is the latest in a nationwide push being made by the pizza franchise to increase its share of the market.
The Bury St Edmonds is the second of four Papa Johnís stores that Syead wants to start-up across the region. When asked about his key Ďingredients for successí, he mentioned the importance hard graft and having motivated team behind you: ďI work full-time for the franchise and spend a lot of time in-store. This is motivating for staff and they respect that. Itís all about give and take and trust as I rely on the people I work with every dayĒ.
But Syead hasnít always worked in the world of pizza. He said: ďI joined Papa Johnís in 2013 from a rather different career in accountancy! My brother financed the first Norwich store and said Ďcome and give it a tryí. I was tempted!
Syead wants to encourage others to follow his franchise journey: ďRunning a Papa Johnís is not like sitting at a desk in front of a computer all day, itís much more practical. To learn the trade, I worked in-store making pizzas and finding about all aspects of the retail outlet. I enjoyed it so much I eventually took over managing the operation.Ē
In June 2018, Syeadís fellow Papa Johnís franchisee Amit Abhol announced that he plans to running twenty Papa Johnís stores by 2020. He has already opened five stores, including one in Manchesterís Denton district and another in Solihull.
