Lockforce UK's history
Lockforce is owned and run by The Forces Group, which leads a number of companies that provide key services to businesses and customers across the UK.
In 2014, Lockforce was formed by Paul Smith and Sean Taylor, following their success and experience in the franchise industry. In fact, the team at Lockforce have over 30 years of experience and practical knowledge in the locksmith industry and support franchisees in the Lockforce family across the UK with their businesses.
It’s Sean’s experience of franchise businesses and facilities management that meant they were ideally placed to take Lockforce to the next level and become the respected locksmith business it is now.
Their world-class team and together they have a plan and business vision of making Lockforce one of the most successful and recognised names in their industry.
"I learnt more in one day than I did on a whole weeks course that I did independently..."
Mark Osborne - Lockforce Thames Valley
"I had been a Locksmith for 13 years but wanted to be part of something bigger and with support of a network.
I knew of Lockforce and had heard great things, it’s a proven locksmith model. The training has been brilliant, I learnt more with Carl in one day than I did on a whole weeks course that I did independently. The Head Office training has been eye opening and I’ve learn ’t loads. It’s a great Team and I’m excited about the future."
“I wanted the flexibility of being self employed"
Paul Mitchell - Lockforce Milton Keynes
“From the first meeting with Lockforce I have found each stage of the journey fascinating and enjoyable. I love the professional and friendly feel of the Head Office team and also the ethics that run through the company. I have always had an interest in security equipment so wanted to extend my knowledge into the industry. The technical training was comprehensive, intensive and very thorough. I really wanted the flexibility that being self-employed brings, and to run my own business. I’m looking forward to the journey. “
Sean Bailey - Lockforce Darlington Franchisee
"I left the Army in 2014 and settled into a job. I then started my own locksmith business in my spare time. I was doing OK but joining Lockforce in 2017 has transformed my business and I am now looking to take it to a new level. In the first 6 months with Lockforce I had earned more than in the previous year on my own!! If I could turn back the clock I would have joined Lockforce when I first left the Army."
‘It’s is quite fair to say that the only regret…’
I first heard about Lockforce through a military job magazine, I’d had a health scare and was told that I had to find another job, so it seemed like the perfect time to get the ball rolling. My main fear of joining Lockforce was “what happens if this doesn’t work for me?” This is a big step for anyone to take and I’m sure other franchisees were feeling exactly like I did. I was soon put at ease when I went down to
Lockforce Head office and had a chat with Gayle and Sean and they put me at ease.
Head office training was great, and it was a chance to meet the full team that work behind the scenes to help you with your business. Whilst at head office we covered lots of subjects to help you progress your business Marketing and Sales being the two main ones. The team could not help you enough, I didn’t quite expect the amount of work and support that they do for you.
Now I have had the training I feel confident that I can run my business to the best of my ability. Having this support behind you takes all the fear out of running your own business on your own. It’s is quite fair to say that the only regret that I have about joining Lockforce is that I wish I had done it a lot sooner.
