Andy Yuill from Croydon only joined the Lockforce network one year ago. But he’s already one of their most reviewed locksmiths – regularly receiving five stars for his professionalism and rapid response.
“He is one of our top most reviewed locksmiths and he takes great pride in this,” says Gayle Baker in a company blog post. “He loves a bit of healthy competition in getting the most and best reviews.”
Before joining the locksmith franchise, Andy worked as a national account manager for one of Lockforce’s main suppliers. He had a great working relationship with Lockforce and saw their reputation growing from strength to strength. Soon, he realised that life as a franchisee offered a lot of benefits.
He took the time to learn more about what Lockforce represented as a brand. After getting his partner to meet the team and getting the green light, he opened his own business – and his decision has paid off.
In his first year, Andy has exceeded his business plan by some margin, paid some loans off and even saved money to treat his partner and six-year-old son.
“He loves what he does now, he is in charge of his own destiny, enjoying the flexibility” adds Gayle.
Andy’s Croydon business keeps very busy. A look at his website shows just some of the jobs he’s completed. He’s helped a young lady secure her home and reduce her insurance premium, foiled an attempted burglary and even supported a local women’s refuge pro bono.
Going into his second year, Andy has set himself some aggressive targets. But he’s looking forward to what he can achieve with support from Lockforce.
“I love what I do, every day is different,” says Andy. “I am my own boss and get to manage my own time, earnings and workload. Starting your own business, whatever you decide to do, isn’t easy. With the backing of Lockforce, I’ve had the support from Head Office and the network, which has been great. It’s the best thing I’ve done.”
