Barking Mad is bringing its unique dog sitting and boarding service to the town of Bury St Edmonds.

Barking Mad has welcomed its newest franchisee to the network and now canine fans across the town of Bury St Edmonds will have the chance to temporarily welcome a furry friend into their homes.

The pet and dog franchise is a pet-matching scheme that pairs up pets in need of someone to look after them while their owners are away. It’s mutually beneficial for all parties involved, as those who don’t have the capacity to own a pet permanently get the chance to snuggle with a dog of their choosing for up to two weeks. Meanwhile, pet owners get to enjoy their holiday without feeling guilty, as they know that their dogs are being well looked after by someone just as crazy about animals as they are.

Franchisee Steve Lake explained how he bought into the franchise after recognising the strength of the business opportunity and said he hopes that dog lovers who cannot own a pooch for themselves will buy into the experience.

“We hope hosts will see a boost to their own wellbeing,” explained Steve, revealing the well-known positive effect of pets on the mental health of those who are looking after them.

Steve’s role will be to meet potential dog sitters across the area and find them their perfect match among the pooches that need a temporary home while their owners jet off for a break in the sun.

If you think this sounds like the ideal franchise opportunity for you, Barking Mad are on the lookout for new franchisees to join the network all across the country. The award-winning franchise opportunity has won plenty of awards and is looking to expand to new locations.
