Two of Driver Hire’s recent re-sales have been successfully completed, furthering the franchise’s establishment across the southern regions.

Driver Hire has just successfully re-sold its Luton and Twickenham franchises, ensuring the network continues to thrive in the South.

Couple, Sonny and Avi have taken over the Twickenham franchise, while Charanpreet Singh Parhar (known as Chaz) has bought the Luton office.

When asked what had prompted them to invest in Driver Hire, Sonny said that he and Avi were ready for a change. They decided that buying into a franchise provided security and they’re excited about running their own business with added support. He said, “as with any business, it will be a challenge, but working with our franchisor, we make a great team”.

Sonny worked in a management role for the Home Office, and Avi was a primary school teacher. This new opportunity gave them the chance to transition to self-employment, but it was, in Sonny’s words, “a safer route”, thanks to the benefit of having a big brand, training and on-going support.

Chaz, the new owner of the Luton franchise, had worked for Paypoint Network Ltd and, like Sonny and Avi, wanted to be his own boss. He says, “I’d always wanted to work for myself. I like the idea of franchising because there’s support from the franchisor”. He went on to explain why he chose Driver Hire, “Driver Hire’s proven business model enables me to offer an in-depth range of recruitment and training services”.

These new appointments demonstrate the continued success for Driver Hire, which is growing across the UK and enjoying great profit figures.

Graham Duckworth, Driver Hire’s Franchise Sales Director, explained that the franchise has completed its fifth record-breaking year in a row, increasing average turnover for each office up to £1.2m. He clarified the impressiveness of this achievement, saying, “that’s three times the national average figure published in the most recent Natwest/bfa survey.”

Driver Hire is a short and long-term recruitment firm providing drivers and logistics for companies across the UK.
