Rugbytots programme for active children has been officially launched in Bradford.
The sports franchise, which delivers fun, age-appropriate rugby classes to children between the ages of two and seven, has been celebrating the launch of its newest classes in Bradford. The launch comes just in time for the long summer holiday and Rugbytots is offering free taster sessions to children who want to get in on the fun filled sessions. The occasion was marked by a visit from the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Zafar Ai, which was a huge honour for Rugbytots and only served to increase the excitement of the day.
Parents looking to get their little ones involved will be able to attend classes every Sunday, at the Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club. The franchise also plans to run weekday classes at local schools and nurseries if possible, incorporating the fun of Rugbytots into children’s schooldays to encourage them to be active and healthy from a young age.
The franchise was launched in 2006 after founder Max Webb discovered there wasn’t any kind of pre-school rugby class for his three young children to get involved with. After discussions with other parents, he realised he wasn’t the only one who wanted his children to get involved with a rugby play programme. So, Rugbytots was born.
Now, it’s taught over 60,000 children across 17 different countries key developmental skills in communication and movement, all during its fun, sporty sessions. With 100 franchisees in the UK alone, the company is continuing to grow its presence both at home and globally, as it seeks to take its fun and friendly business model to more and more locations.
