Fitness Space’s newest franchisee is an ex-premier league football star keen to begin his business journey
Fitness Space has welcomed a once-household name to its franchise as it opens its newest branch in Guildford, Surrey.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who was the star striker for Leeds United and Chelsea in the late 90s/early 2000s, is the newest franchisee of the fitness franchise and to celebrate the opening of his new business he held an exciting launch party.
Attended by Fitness Space’s founder, former Welsh sprinter Tim Benjamin, and the Mayor of Guildford, members of the public who were interested in checking out the boutique gym were invited along to join the celebration. With a live DJ and tasty Vietnamese street food on offer from ‘Pho’, everyone had a fantastic time and had the opportunity to test some of the innovative, cutting-edge equipment that members will be able to access.
General Manager of Fitness Space Guildford, James Williams-Richardson, explained what makes Fitness Space so different to other fitness and health clubs.

He added that the opening party was a fantastic success and that it was great for himself and Hasselbaink to meet potential new members to introduce them to Fitness Space’s “leading-edge fitness concept."
