The history of Pearson Ferrier

Pearson Ferrier was first established in 1996 by business partners Mitchell Pearson and Julian Ferrier. Mitchell and Julian shared a central vision, and a strong desire “to offer clients an impeccable service and see all property transactions executed as smoothly as possible” [Pearson Ferrier]. It’s now been 25 years since the brand came into being. 25 years spent innovating in the ever-changing retail sector.

Though some things have changed a great deal in this time, some things have remained the same. Pearson Ferrier is as committed as ever to great customer service, but the company HAS now expanded into franchising and acquired numerous offices across the Northwest. Plus, additional Director Matthew Fairclough has been welcomed to the team. In short, Pearson Ferrier continues to grow, showing no signs of slowing down. If you choose to invest and become a franchisee, you could be a crucial part of that growth, bringing the amazing services of this property company to the rest of the UK.

Whilst we remain innovative in our field and adaptable in our approach, several core factors of our service have never faltered in our 25 years. For us, our customers will always remain our top priority and key focus, which is why so many choose to recommend our team for the bespoke service we offer, and the attention to detail we exhibit. - Pearson Ferrier

Start a franchise in the estate agency sector with a Pearson Ferrier property franchise

If everything that you’ve learned so far about Pearson Ferrier has piqued your interest and you think that running a property specialist business with the brand is the right route for you, keep reading. The three questions answered below will provide you with all the knowledge you need in order to make a fully informed franchise investment with Pearson Ferrier...

1. How do you go about starting your own Pearson Ferrier estate agency?

For more information about a franchise investment with Pearson Ferrier, you can visit the agency’s website page dedicated to the topic. The website is also a great place to register your initial interest. Note, before you do, that though the company doesn’t list any specific required skills/types of experience that it’s looking for in franchisees, franchisees in the real estate industry will generally benefit from possessing the following:

  • The ability to provide excellent customer service
  • The ability to make sales
  • The ability to communicate effectively
  • Computer literacy
  • Leadership, people management and teamwork skills
  • Attentiveness to detail
  • A determined, self-motivated attitude
  • A willingness to follow the proven methods/model of your franchisor

We think of our franchisees as partners and we use the same principles of honesty, transparency and ethics as we would in any partnership. Your success is our success so we will do everything possible to make your venture profitable and enjoyable.

2. How much do you need to invest?

The cost of becoming a Pearson Ferrier property specialist will range depending on the type of franchise package you go for (as per the three options, listed earlier). Starting a Premium Agency, the highest level of potential investment, will cost a minimum initial amount of £29,950. To contextualise this, the average cost of starting a franchise, as of 2018, was £42,200 [British Franchise Association]. To further contextualise, here are some other cost examples from the property sector:

  • EweMove - In order to become a EweMove franchisee, you’ll need to make a minimum initial investment of £10,000, with a total investment cost of £25,000.
  • Luke Stays - In order to become a Luke Stays franchisee, you’ll need to make a minimum initial investment of £11,997.
  • No Letting Go - In order to become a No Letting Go franchisee, you’ll need to make a minimum initial investment of £17,950.

For instance, the owner of a Premium Agency with Pearson Ferrier will gain access to a territory of 235,000 houses and full marketing support, while a Property Specialist with Pearson Ferrier will still receive full marketing support, but will instead gain access to a territory of 78,000 houses.
