Swimtime is using its technology resources to monitor activity within the business and support the NHS Track and Trace scheme.

Swimtime considers itself to be a socially responsible brand, so when the opportunity to support work by the NHS cropped up, it was quick to help out. Taking advantage of the award-winning technology it has to hand, the swimming franchise was able to gain a clear picture of the people visiting its centres.

The technology is powered by FranScape and uses powerful data analysis techniques to keep track of activity in the franchise. It is able to ascertain who visits Swimtime’s centres, when they arrive and the people they are likely to come into contact with. The information processed by Swimtime’s technology will be useful if the NHS ever needs to request details about the franchise and its visitors.

Being able to help the NHS’s Track and Trace programme means a lot to the franchise, which always aims to be thorough with all health and safety issues.

Rachel Brooks, Swimtime’s Operations Director explained:

“Customer safety and confidence is our top priority and we are delighted to be able to reassure customers that should one of our customers test positive for COVID-19, we are able to support NHS Track and Trace teams to provide clear information as to who might be at risk. The speed and accuracy of this information can help play a key role in minimising future outbreaks, protecting our communities.”

Having this information to hand is invaluable in reassuring customers who may be hesitant to return to swimming pools. Should a Swimtime visitor or staff member test positive for the virus, the franchise will be able to take immediate action to avoid further transmission.
