Sketchers is opening a new store in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Fairview Heights in Illinois is about to get a new Sketchers store. It is set to open its doors in the next few weeks. Currently no opening date has been set, but the owners have said that the plan is to open during the summer, which is a critical time for the shoe brand.
The new 70,00 sq ft store will be located in a two-storey shopping centre named PerriDax Plaza. Owner of the complex, Jan Gitcho mentioned that it imagines this new store will be a big attraction for customers visiting the centre.
Gitcho did confirm that Sketchers is hoping to open very soon, and he believes it could be as soon as the next month.
PerriDax Plaza is a unique shopping centre in that all the shop owners and managers work together and act like a community. Other stores are excited about the prospect of Sketchers, because the big name has the potential to bring in lots more customers. It will give Sketchers the chance to make a real difference to the Fairview Heights community.
The complex is welcoming lots of new shops as it becomes a major shopping destination for the city. Along with Sketchers, car rental stores and a music and arts store are set to open within the next couple of months.
Sketchers has more than 2,400 stores around the world. Many are independently owned franchises, and lots of other department stores and independent footwear shops sell the shoes. It has more than 3,000 styles of shoes for men and women under its brand. Sketchers are a leader in performance and sports footwear and is valued at 3.56 billion dollars.
Recent years have seen the company branch into other clothing lines, selling its branding through licensing. Sketchers continues to grow its offering, as well as its number of stores. The shoes are sold in 160 countries, and it is one of the most well-known performance footwear brands in the world.
