Minuteman Press’s Tustin, California franchise unit has won a Small Business of the Year award.
The printing franchise branch, which is owned and operated by James and Doris Moore, impressed award judges at the Tustin Chamber of Commerce.
James said,
“Winning Small Business of the Year gives us the validation that our high-quality printing services and our involvement in the community is appreciated.”
The entrepreneurial pair have been running their Minuteman Press business since 2014 and were able to continue operating during the pandemic, providing high-demand products such as PPE. The franchise unit also distributed social distancing awareness materials, including floor and window graphics.
James and Doris were even able to support businesses looking to refresh their branding by offering their custom graphic design services.
At a time when many entrepreneurs are struggling, the pair have gone the extra mile to contact their clients and ask how they can help. They were able to provide real value for businesses in the local community:
“We launched a web portal, Bounce Back Tustin, which provides free local listings to businesses and encourages people to support local businesses.
“We have also found renewed value in picking up the telephone and making calls to our clients rather than just relying on email or social media. The response from these calls were overwhelmingly positive, with a sense of happiness and relief that someone was willing to reach out to them and help them with their marketing needs.”
