Now, you can place it down and make it much easier to clean.” Having removed the panel, you can apply dishwasher tablets directly to the glass, “and along with a little hot water, use them as a sort of rubber and completely erase all that nasty dirt and grime”.
Hack number two was all about destroying limescale build-up on the shower head. Merry Maids let readers know that Coca Cola was the answer. In the words of the franchise, “Simply buy some cheap non-branded cola from your local supermarket, and then place your showerhead into a deep plastic bag. Then, fill the bag with cola until the showerhead is completely submerged. Seal the bag with a clip or string and leave it hanging somewhere safe where it will be untouched. Leave it for a few hours and the acidic cola will actually gradually dissolve the limescale build-up!”
The final hack was a reminder to customers that bicarbonate of soda is 100% a cleaner’s best friend. As Merry Maids said, “You might not think it, but the humble bicarbonate of soda has a multitude of uses within the home for keeping things clean.” It can remove tannin stains, absorb and remove odours, restore shine to sterling silver, and much more.
