About Co-operative Food
Franchise

Co-Operative Food Stores is currently not recruiting.

With over 210 stores in southern England, food retail is our largest area of business. Their convenience stores are complemented by a selected number of community supermarkets in stand-alone villages and market town locations. To help their customers even more they also have more than 50 sub-post offices within their stores. They take pride in extending beyond their customers to the communities they serve. Their brand is synonymous with responsible retailing and food ethics as they support local growers and producers through Local Flavours.

While they might be considered as the shop down the road, they take great care of our food offerings. They put a lot of effort into the manufacture of their food and drink ranges. As much as possible, they want to use British produce whenever they can and source our food ethically.

They treat every member of the cooperative as a loyal customer which gives them the reason to feel important. Food is a basic need of humans so you will have a wide customer base for your franchise. A franchisee will have the backing of a stable company with a good track record, several years of experience and also have an opportunity to grow a business and contribute to their success.

Training and support provided

They work closely with their franchisees to help them develop their business in a sustainable manner. Building good working relationships is vital to their business so we have to remain close to their local suppliers. They conduct frank, open, and honest discussions with them. This will allow them to secure future supply and offer products we know will be enjoyable to their customers and will be viable to their business. They help our franchisees find solutions to the challenges they face using their expertise and experience and help them adapt to the needs and demands of their customers.

The ideal Co-operative Food franchisee

To be part of their growing family of franchises, there are certain requirements that the ideal candidate should possess. The right franchisee must have the passion for their product and the community they are located. Their franchisees should also work to ensure that they use high quality ingredients and standards. They also require that their prospective franchisee should offer both robust product and business. The products that they will offer needs to be viable and suit their demographics. To be one of their partners, you should be growing or packaging local products within the county of supply or neighbouring counties.
