My Window Cleaner has welcomed a new franchisee into its network, and the franchise owners are pleased with his progress.

After learning about My Window Cleaner’s franchise opportunity, entrepreneur Michael Finn was excited to become his own boss by starting his own cleaning business. After signing up and investing in his new branch, he flew to Spain to meet the business’ founder Karen Prewer and Director Dave Prewer.

The pair treated the new recruit to a welcome lunch, before getting started with the five-day induction programme. This involved spending a week in a classroom at the Marbella Golf & Country Club, which looks out over the Mediterranean. The course started with a PowerPoint presentation on the week’s agenda and the history of the business and its operations manual.

After that, days ran from 9am to 6pm, followed by a team dinner. During the week, Finn was able to learn more about the window cleaning franchise’s IT system and sales and marketing procedures. The team also helped him develop an impressive pre-launch marketing campaign to get potential customers interested in the business.

With this support, and the pre-training pack and presentations sent by the team before the induction week, Finn was able to get his franchise branch for the area of Willesden and Brondesbury Park off to a great start. The pre-launch marketing campaign proved highly successful, as the business still draws in new customers every single day.

Finn’s first customer was a car showroom owner, who wanted his windows cleaned every two weeks. A successful first visit secured an ongoing twice-monthly contract deal, bringing in £140 each time. This was just the first of many profitable transactions, and the new franchisee is on track to generate a turnover of £900 in his first month – an impressive feat.
