As the UK’s lockdown restrictions have stopped sweet-toothed customers from getting their favourite traditional sweets, Mr Simms has decided to launch its very own online shop.
Even though its 75 stores will be opening their doors again within the next few weeks, eager fans of the sweet shop franchise can pick up sweets, chocolates and other sugary treats without leaving the safety of their homes.
The new online shop is great news for both customers and franchisees who have been greatly affected by this trying time. Now, they’ll be able to make an income by sending out products to people in their local area, which will keep their businesses thriving until they can welcome customers back in person.
And for sweet lovers, it’s a safer way to get their hands on traditional treats. Vulnerable customers who are still shielding can brighten up their days with pick’n’mix, vintage classics like pear drops and liquorice mints and even sugar-free confectionary. And if you haven’t been able to see family members for months, you can send them a social distancing-approved gift of their favourite sweets to let them know you’re thinking of them.
You can get free delivery on orders over £20, so it makes sense to stock up on your favourite indulgent treats to get you through this strange time. Mr Simms is also aiming to reopen all of its stores on the 15th of June (subject to changes in the government’s guidelines), so you’ll also be able to browse in its vintage-inspired shops soon.
