Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe has delighted Reading customers with sweet-tooths with its brand-new store.
The new sweet shop was launched in Reading, where customers with a sweet tooth were excited about the news. When Mr Simms released details of its latest store addition on its Facebook page, followers were quick to celebrate. One user said, “This is great news!”. Another wrote, “It’s about time!” Someone else said, “Mr Simms is amazing.”
The sweet shop franchise opened the doors to its newest store addition, which is situated between KFC and the Halifax, on 20th August. Customers can now find all their favourite Mr Simms products, from retro classics like lemon bon-bons to American treats like Nerds and Jolly Ranchers in the Reading store.
The franchisees behind this new Reading-based store have been part of the Mr Simms brand for two years as the proud owners of two other shops in Basingstoke and Guildford. The Butt brothers jointly own their new Reading store and are enthusiastic about welcoming new customers.
Mr Butt said:
“At Mr Simms, you can buy everyone's all-time favourites all of the time and discover some new favourites whilst you're at it!”
The brothers would also like to reassure sweet fans who may be concerned about the impact of coronavirus on their shopping experience. The new Mr Simms store has displayed signs reminding customers to wear masks, as well as floor stickers to encourage social distancing. It also has a sanitising station at the entrance and screens at the tills. To further reduce infection, staff are regularly washing their hands as part of a wider cleaning routine.
