Home Instead Senior Care picked up the prestigious award for the second time last year.
The accolade was issued by WorkBuzz and drew on feedback from Home Instead staff and clients. With adaptable care to suit individual needs, Home Instead is able to cater for a range of people, from those valuing occasional company to those who require live-in support.
Having built their home care services franchise from the ground up, husband and wife Paul and Lori Hogan have ample industry experience, founding their company in 1994 and branching into the UK in 2005. Now, more than 1,200 franchisees spread the brand ethos in 14 countries worldwide.
WorkBuzz CEO, Steven Frost explained that the award is only given to the top 10 percent of companies considered for it.
“The care sector too often receives negative publicity”, Frost stated. “In contrast, Home Instead Senior Care has a strong culture whereby caregivers have the right support and training; are well led and have a strong commitment to deliver outstanding care.”
Home Instead caregivers are handpicked for each client to ensure their personalities and interests match. Once a satisfactory pairing has been found, the carer spends a minimum of one hour per visit with the customer, establishing a meaningful relationship.
As a result, the franchise benefits from a strong workforce. One member of staff described their outlook: “The best thing about working for Home Instead is the nature of the job, going out and doing what I do; showing kindness, compassion, commitment and most importantly love, because sometimes that’s all a person needs.
