Century 21 has appointed a new President and Chief Executive Officer and thanks predecessor Nick Bailey as he steps down.
One of the world’s largest residential property companies saw a leadership reshuffle last week as Nick Bailey relinquished his role as former President and CEO. Bailey’s time at the top of the leadership team came to an end on January 11th, having joined the Realogy Holdings Group associated with Century 21 in 2017 after working at the real estate marketplace company Zillow.
The change came as the result of Bailey’s decision to work closer to home in Colorado, near to his wife and two young sons. Bailey will however continue to work with estate agency franchise Century 21 in the coming months, acting as an advisor until March 1st 2019.
The President and CEO of Realogy Franchise Group, John Peyton expressed his gratitude: “I would like to thank Nick for his vision and tenacity, which have strongly positioned the Century 21 brand as well as our brokers and agents for the future.”
Talking of his time as President and CEO of Century 21, Bailey said, “I have had an amazing journey within this industry, and I am so proud of the countless 'thank yous' I have received.”
Filling Bailey’s shoes is Michael Miedler, who has a long history with Century 21, as well as a 20-year history in the industry. He has previously acted as Senior VP, working with the franchise sales team, encouraging brand growth and responsible for market share strategy in the USA, before being promoted to Chief Growth Officer in March last year.
When Bailey announced his plans, John Peyton could rely on a strong workforce at Century 21 to source an excellent successor to Bailey, explaining: “We didn't have to look far to find an outstanding leader in Michael, who, with his strong focus on growth, has the right background and experience to build on the momentum of the Century 21 brand."
