Century 21 New Zealand held an awards ceremony in Auckland just before the latest lockdown in the region.

Derryn Mayne, owner of the estate agency franchise’s New Zealand division, explained why the event was so important:

“It was great to celebrate success, particularly after such a rocky year globally. In the end, 2020 turned out to be really strong for Century 21, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent economic uncertainty.”

During the ceremony, the franchise awarded a range of different prizes recognising achievements across many different areas of business. An award for Top Office in 2020 for both units and gross closed commission (GCC) went to an agency in Papakura, where Kevin Ratnayake won Top Salesperson for GCC. Meanwhile the Top Salesperson for units was Andrew Pugh, from Century 21 Premier in Palmerston North.

Attendees also celebrated the award winners for Top Principal for the Year, Highest Business Growth, Property Manager, Top Property Management Office and Rookie of the Year. There were also several classic Century 21 prizes, including the Centurion Office, Grand Centurion and Centurion Producers, as well as Golden Gavel, and the Diamond, Emerald and Ruby Masters. Plus, there was a Recognition Award, and prizes for the Administration Team Member and Personal Sales Assistant of the year.

According to Derryn, the Century 21 franchise worked hard to combat the challenges brought by the pandemic throughout 2020:

“Century 21 really pulled together in 2020 and our offices did all they could to support buyers and sellers during such challenging times, all while keeping everyone safe.

“Not only were there restrictions, lockdowns and a complete lack of listings, but we had a General Election! Nonetheless, Century 21 delivered some great results in 2020 across sales and property management. Here’s to 2021."
