A US branch of Century 21 has kindly donated a large sum to non-profit organisation Easterseals.
Century 21’s Coleman-Hornsby branch, which is located in Morris, Illinois, raised the money throughout 2019. Every time an estate agent closed a sale, they put $21 from the takings directly into the fundraising pot. At the end of the year, the office matched the figure, doubling the total.
Thanks to the estate agents’ generous donations, Century 21 Coleman-Hornsby was able to present the Will Grundy branch of Easterseals with a cheque for $6,552. The location’s Development Manager, Deb Strahanoski, was there to pick up the monetary gift.
The Coleman-Hornsby location specialises in residential, land, farm, business and industrial properties, and is always keen to help the local community. Since the estate agent franchise as a whole was founded back in 1979, it has raised a combined total of more than $125 million for Easterseals.
Shawn Hornsby, who owns the Morris-based branch, said:
“Our relationship with Easterseals not only enables our agents to give back to the communities we serve, but also helps to raise awareness of the worthwhile efforts of Easterseals to assist adults and children with disabilities lead more independent lives.
“This year’s contribution represents the largest amount we have ever raised for Easterseals and will help them to serve people right here in our community. It is amazing how much time and money our agents donate to help this and other organisations in our communities. I am proud to be a part of this wonderful team.”
