ActionCOACH has unveiled its brand new productivity drive that will help businesses keep their employees engaged throughout the working day.

New figures from analytics firm Gallup has discovered just how costly disengaged employees can be to a company. It found that they have higher rates of absence (37 percent), lower rates of productivity (18 percent) and are less profitable (by up to 15 percent).

Business coaching franchise ActionCOACH has launched a programme to tackle this, which it hopes will help companies across Indonesia better engage employees. A survey it held found that 90 percent of companies across the country do not implement any further team building and engagement strategies than the occasional outing and says that its brand new ‘Group Activation System’ should help them to improve this.

Prijono Nugroho, Managing Partner of ActionCOACH Jakarta explained:

"To engage employees, you need to a mixture of communications training, team building, self-confidence and performance, and focus group discussion to boost leadership skills. However, most team outing activities only focus on entertaining outdoor activities without leadership or team development. An effective employee engagement programme should be customised to suit different clients and different employees who play various roles in the company."

Prijono explained how the programme that’s been put together by ActionCOACH will help employees perform at their very best for a long time after completion.

"Everything we do during the sessions will enhance employees’ skillsets and encourage them to strive for better performance. It will also help them learn how to become successful leaders. Our 12-week programme is not a one-time learning experience. We will continue monitoring our clients and their employees constantly after the programme ends, to ensure that they follow our advice and the things that they've learned throughout the programme."

The 12-week programme will cover three main areas: engagement, culture and leadership. It’s hoped that those who attend will come away ready to give their all to their jobs, and be able to pass on what they’ve learned to their junior colleagues.
