Our History

SylvianCare is a family owned business, founded in 2014 by brother and sister team Silviu and Cristina. Both the founders have a depth of knowledge of the care sector having had previous careers in both Social Care and Nursing. The  founders are still actively involved in the day to day running of SylvianCare and their expertise and experience will be invaluable to you as a franchisee as you start to build your business.

The SylvianCare Model

Providing an individually tailored, dedicated care service for our clients has been the cornerstone of our success. However in many ways that service is simply our end product. Care is the word that has been central to our success. As business owners we care about our Head Office Staff investing in their training and development. In turn everyone at Head Office cares about our front line staff the care providers. These are the individuals upon whom our reputation rests so we both treat and reward them fairly. By making sure that care is at the heart of everything that we do, we can be confident that the clients that we look after receive a quality of care that surpasses their expectations. Domiciliary Care

As a SylvianCare Franchisee your role will be to own and manage a Domiciliary Care business supplying suitably trained care staff to those in need of our service. By providing this vital service we allow our clients to retain the independence associated with living in their own homes. This results in a quality of life and wellbeing that surpasses that achieved by most residential care facilities.

Our clients and your clients should you become a Franchisee, will have a variety of needs to consider.  You may be asked to supply a carer to assist an elderly client with light housework or shopping. You will have clients with greater needs who may need multiple visits per day or a visit at night to ensure that they are settled safely, in bed. We also have a range of clients whose needs are so complex that a full time, live-in carer is the best solution. Providing the most effective care package for each of your clients and understanding that all have individual needs has been a major element in our success.

Training and support provided

Initial and Ongoing Support

One of the major reasons for buying a franchise as opposed to starting up independently is the training and support that you will receive from your franchisor. As a SylvianCare Franchisee we will make sure that you are fully equipped and ready to start trading. Our support begins even before you open your doors as we will advise on the suitability of  your chosen location and premises. Should you require it, we will help you with your business plan and introduce you to funders who are supportive of franchised businesses. We will work with you on your application for CQC (Care Quality Commission) registration which is a legal requirement within our sector.

Your training at our head office will cover all aspects of running a successful Domiciliary Care business including legislation, systems, how to assess clients care needs and the effective marketing tools that we use in order to gain clients. We are committed to supporting, training and caring for you as our franchisee during the lifetime of your franchise.

Are You Someone Who Cares?

By now you will know that care is at the heart of our business model. As a SylvianCare franchisee, we expect you to uphold the principles that have made us successful. You do not need to have a background in the care sector to own a  SylvianCare Franchise. If it is a case that you come from a non care sector we will help you to recruit a suitably qualified Care Manager. This is a legal requirement for all Domiciliary Care businesses.

Ideally you will have had previous management experience, as a major part of your role involves people management. As with any business you need to understand the financial make up, so a working knowledge of management accounts and P& L reports, is an advantage.

Whilst all of the above are important, the most important criteria for us will be you, as an individual. If you feel that you are the type of person that can make a positive impact on a section of your community that needs help, then we would be interested in talking to you.

SylvianCare's history

SylvianCare Founders

SylvianCare was founded in 2014 by Cristina Grancea and Silviu Pop. As siblings they both have a strong background within the Care Sector. Cristina holds a BA Honours in Social Work and an MSc in Psychology. Her working history covers Social Work in the Mental Health and Child Protection Sectors as well as working with adults with learning disabilities.

Silviu is a Graduate Nurse by profession graduating from Nursing College in 2002. He has experience in working with patients (both adults and children) with learning disabilities. In addition, he has worked with patients suffering from Dementia as well as spending time working within a large Stroke Unit. As a soldier Silviu saw active duty in Iraq as a Registered Nurse.

Why we chose SylvianCare

Sisters in Law, Gabriela and Alina Moldovan explain why they decided to become SylvianCare Franchisees.

Both Alina and myself have a background in Health and Social Care, as well as previous management experience. When it came to deciding to start a business, we wanted one which would not only provide us with the income levels that we sought, but also one where, due to our previous work experience, we could give something back to our local community.

The provision of a domiciliary care service and earning potential of SylvianCares franchise model fulfilled both those criteria. As Sisters in Law we were also attracted by the fact that our Franchisor was also a family owned business run by a Brother and Sister team. As our Franchisor, both Silviu and Cristina have been invaluable sources of knowledge and support to call upon whenever we needed help and advice.

The training that we have received has been excellent. Whilst we both had previous care knowledge we had no experience of setting up a business, marketing for clients or the dedicated operating systems involved. SylvianCare have supported us in all of the above and have always been there when we needed guidance.

Running a domiciliary care business is not a walk in the park. There are daily challenges that you need to deal with but we can always rely on a franchisor that has undoubtedly faced those same challenges, for advice.
