The kitchen worktop renovation franchise recently announced that the previous owner of TREND Transformations Nottingham had retired, and introduced new owner Paul Watkins.
Though TREND is always sad to say goodbye to an old franchisee, it’s always nice to welcome someone new into the fold. Therefore, the home improvement franchise wishes the previous owner of TREND Transformations’ Nottingham showroom a happy retirement and welcomes Paul to the franchise family. TREND said, “Before joining us as a franchise partner, Paul was very new to the kitchen and bathroom renovation sector. Though he had always had an interest in DIY and home renovations, he actually came from a well-established career as a management consultant for a well-known accountancy firm.”
Now, he’s thriving with TREND Transformations and enjoying his new career (and more sustainable future) a lot more. In his words, “My previous job was very up and down, depending on what was happening with the market and especially recently, but this is a much more stable way to make a living. Also, I really wanted to spend a lot less time on video calls and more time doing practical things.” Paul feels that TREND manages to strike a really good balance. He said, “You’re never on your own, never left adrift – you’ve always got the franchisor there to help and the rest of the network to lean on.”
He’s also very glad he purchased an established territory. He “wanted to be involved in something that was already off the ground” and “learn all the right new skills from the current owners”, so he jumped at the chance when the Nottingham territory came up for sale, seeing that it was a great location and the perfect option for him - which it has been.
