David Glover, CEO of Caremark, has welcomed the news that the home care franchise has become the first network of 2026 to secure the 5 Star Franchisee Satisfaction Award from WorkBuzz, alongside the Continuous Improvement Award.
Responding to the recognition, he said:
We are delighted to have been awarded the 5* Franchisee Satisfaction Award along with the Continuous Improvement Award in 2026. We are very proud of our franchise system and work closely with all franchise owners in our network to ensure they feel supported every step along the way.
“All the metrics measured in this survey are incredibly important to us, as they ensure that all our franchisees can offer the highest standard of care to our customers".
The recognition follows an 8% year on year rise in overall franchisee satisfaction, taking Caremark’s total satisfaction score to 76 per cent. In a competitive UK care franchise market, that places the brand firmly ahead of industry benchmarks.
Outperforming the wider franchising sector
The independently run WorkBuzz survey measures franchisee feedback across five core performance areas and compares results against the broader UK franchising industry. To achieve 5 Star status, franchisors must exceed the industry average in every single category.
Caremark achieved exactly that.
-
Leadership setting the pace. The strongest uplift came in leadership, where Caremark scored 10 per cent above the industry average. This area evaluates the effectiveness of the franchisor’s leadership team, fairness of policies, brand protection and the system’s competitive positioning. For franchisees operating in the regulated home care sector, clear guidance and decisive leadership are essential foundations.
-
Franchisees who would invest again
-
General satisfaction, including whether franchise owners would recommend the Caremark franchise and choose to do it all over again, ranked 9 per cent above the industry norm. That level of endorsement is a powerful signal for prospective investors exploring a care franchise opportunity.
-
A culture built on respect and collaboration.
In culture and relationships, Caremark outperformed the benchmark by 8 per cent. This category reflects how franchisees view their relationship with the franchisor and fellow franchise owners, whether they feel respected and whether constructive input is encouraged. A strong internal culture often translates into stronger local businesses and better outcomes for customers. -
The franchise system itself scored 3 per cent above average, recognising its competitiveness, innovation and flexibility in meeting local customer needs.
-
Training and support also exceeded the benchmark by 2 per cent. From initial training through to ongoing mentoring and operational guidance, this area assesses how effectively franchisees are supported to establish, manage and grow their domiciliary care businesses.
Continuous improvement recognised
Alongside the 5 Star Franchisee Satisfaction Award, Caremark was also presented with the Continuous Improvement Award for 2026, reflecting consistent year on year progress across its network.
With more than 140 franchises operating across the UK and over 8,000 customers receiving care, Caremark’s latest survey results reinforce its standing as a franchisee focused brand within the expanding home care franchise sector. For those considering investing in a UK care franchise, the message from within the network is increasingly positive.
