Caremark names Rajwant Sandhu as its 2025 ‘Incredible of the Year’

The announcement was made during a prestigious ceremony at Fortnum & Mason in London, where Raj was celebrated alongside ten finalists chosen from more than 6,500 care assistants nationwide.

Recognising outstanding dedication in home care

Caremark’s annual Incredibles awards highlight care assistants who demonstrate exceptional compassion, consistency and professionalism. Raj, who has worked with Caremark Dartford and Gravesham since 2019, was selected as the national winner.

Franchise Managing Directors Raspinder Singh and Gursh Baryah, who nominated her, explained why she stood out:

“Rajwant quietly gets on with her work, but the praise from customers and families speaks volumes. She is trusted, respected and loved. She handles complex situations with calm professionalism and always prioritises wellbeing and dignity.”

Care that goes far beyond routine support

Raj’s approach has transformed the lives of many customers. One example involved a customer who was extremely resistant to personal care. Despite efforts from experienced carers, nothing seemed to work until Raj stepped in. Her calm, empathetic manner immediately broke down his barriers and he accepted her help without fuss, bringing immense relief to his family.

Another notable case is Jenny, a customer Raj has supported since 2021. Jenny lives with advanced dementia and has little family support. Over the years, Raj has become her strongest advocate, ensuring her wishes are respected while helping with everything from personal care to walking her dog, Teddy, and supporting her through hospital appointments.

A customer’s daughter summed up the impact of Raj’s work: “Raj is amazing and the support she provides for mum is exceptional. We trust her completely.”

Reflecting on the award, Raj said:

I love this job so much. I don’t feel like it’s a job. My customers are like family. I love this job so much. I don’t feel like it’s a job. My customers are like family.

Celebrating excellence across the Caremark network

Caremark CEO David Glover congratulated all the finalists:
