Julie is a hard-working, heroic franchisee within the home care franchise network, and she was recently awarded this honour during the York Community Pride Awards 2021.

Heritage Healthcare is delighted to announce the news that, after being nominated by her registered care manager Joe Atkin, Julie has won the title of Carer of the Year at the York Community Pride Awards. Joe, who also works for the home care franchise, described Julie as “like a superhero”, saying, “By the day, she is managing the care and coordinating and, by night, she is out doing the hands-on care and making sure everybody is being seen to. She makes my job a lot easier because of the support she gives me.”

Julie joined the Heritage Healthcare network as a franchisee back in September 2012, and has been providing exceptional, quality home care services to clients in York and the surrounding area ever since. Her daily tasks include supporting daily enquiries from new clients and carers, training the care team and scheduling care plans, and she’s always more than happy to get it done with a smile on her face.

Discussing Julie’s incredible win, Heritage Healthcare said, “Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Julie, along with our team, has continued to provide essential support to our clients to help them remain at home safely. The past year has been difficult for many older or vulnerable people in our community, and carers like Julie have been able to deliver a sense of normality for those who have found it difficult. She has been a lifeline for loved ones who have not been able to physically be with family.”

The York Community Pride Awards 2021 ceremony occurred on Thursday the 14th of October, and “Julie attended the awards ceremony with Joe”. When she was announced as the winner, “she collected her trophy from Steve Lowe, representing the sponsor of the award, Local IQ”. Heritage Healthcare’s final words to Julie were as follows: “Well done and thank you, Julie! Your hard work and dedication are an inspiration to the whole of Heritage Healthcare.” Find out more about franchising with Heritage Healthcare and beginning a journey as incredible as Julie’s via the company’s profile page, linked above.
