One of the UK’s fastest-growing homecare franchises is set to take centre stage at one of the sector’s biggest events. Walfinch CEO Amrit Dhaliwal will join leading voices in social care at the upcoming Leaders in Care Conference, offering insight into his journey from franchisee to national brand leader – and what’s next for the Walfinch network.
From Entrepreneur to Care Sector Leader
Now leading a national network of franchised, home-based care providers, Amrit Dhaliwal brings a unique combination of entrepreneurial flair and commitment to quality care. His path to the helm of Walfinch reflects the kind of ambition and adaptability that many aspiring franchisees will recognise.
After graduating with a degree in history and economics, Amrit was determined to run his own business. He got his start by transforming a modest Italian deli in Surrey into an award-winning restaurant – a venture that quickly established his reputation for customer service and operational excellence. Not one to rest on early success, he then opened a tea shop, which also earned acclaim in the local business community.
That early experience of building and scaling customer-focused businesses proved to be the perfect foundation for a move into the care sector. With a deep-rooted belief in family values and delivering outstanding service, Amrit became a franchisee in domiciliary care. Within just four years, he had grown the business from scratch to a £1 million turnover, built a trusted team of 70 care professionals, and earned the title of Franchisee of the Year.
Today, as CEO of Walfinch, he’s channelling that same drive into developing a national care brand built on quality, compassion, and strong business fundamentals. With a clear focus on franchise growth, his goal is to make Walfinch the UK’s leading provider of premium home-based care.
