The home care franchise recently shared Harrow’s fantastic results, which were received following its first inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
This particular Heritage Healthcare branch helps local people living around Harrow, Ruislip and Pinner, allowing them to keep living independently in their own homes while still accessing the care that they need. Led by Managing Director Mukilan Karuppiah since its launch in May 2020, the home care franchise recently underwent its first CQC inspection.
CQC inspections ensure that all care providers in the UK meet legal requirements and regulations, and the CQC “also assesses the quality of the service provided to the clients” and “awards the service with an official rating”. Heritage Healthcare Harrow’s official rating was ‘Good’, achieved after a safe and socially distanced inspection focused on answering the following five key questions:
- Is the service safe?
- Is the service effective?
- Is the service caring?
- Is the service responsive?
- Is the service well-led?
The inspection report stated that, “People and relatives told us care workers were kind, caring and treated them with dignity and respect. People’s independence was encouraged. People were able to make decisions about their care and this was respected by the service.” Heritage Healthcare Harrow was proud to receive this rating, especially so early in the franchise’s journey, and the Heritage Healthcare head office is equally proud.
