The unannounced inspection, carried out over four days at the end of April, was conducted by the Care Inspectorate. Inspectors evaluated the service by speaking with the manager, staff, and clients, observing daily operations, and reviewing documentation.
The published report highlights strong teamwork and communication among staff, and notes that leadership within the service is “very good.” Care plans were praised for being tailored to individual needs and goals, with clients and their families actively involved in shaping and updating them.
Inspectors also found clear evidence of a person-centred approach, with staff schedules adapted to match clients’ preferences and evolving needs. The report specifically mentions the manager’s “highly creative” approach to shifting support hours when clients required additional care for their health and wellbeing.
