Fitter Body Ladies is a boutique fitness franchise dedicated exclusively to women aged 30 and over who seek a supportive and motivational fitness environment. Founded in Northampton in 2012 by Alex Knight and her husband Ricky, the brand emphasizes fun and realistic approaches to weight loss through tailored group personal training sessions.

The franchise currently operates multiple locations across the UK, including Milton Keynes, Basildon, and Cardiff, expanding steadily since 2017. Their unique 3F program focuses on the core pillars of weight loss: Food, Fitness, and Focus, offering a comprehensive and holistic health experience for their members.

Franchise Training and Support

New franchisees must hold at least a Level 2 gym instructor qualification and work towards a Level 3 Personal Trainer certification. Initial training consists of a 2-day intensive in-person course in Northampton covering operational knowledge and practical group session skills.

Sales and marketing training follows with an additional day focused on lead generation, sales calls, Facebook advertising, and database management. Supplementary weekly ongoing online training sessions (about 30 minutes each) are provided to address operational challenges and continuous sales development.

Operational and Business Model

Franchisees primarily manage fun and varied group fitness sessions aimed at supporting their members’ health and weight loss goals. Responsibilities also include handling member inquiries, administration, and staff management. After the first year, franchisees typically transition into more of a managerial and mentoring role to maintain service quality and support staff performance.
