Drain Doctor Anglia becomes the latest franchise to sign the Armed Forces Covenant that aims to support veterans.
Drain Doctor Anglia has become the latest branch to pledge its commitment to treating army personnel and veterans fairly by signing the Armed Forces Covenant, making it only the third plumbing company in the country to do so.
The covenant signals that businesses who sign it are committed to supporting the local armed forces community and for the plumbing franchise, it’s a way of encouraging armed forces veterans to join the business when they return to civilian life.
Rob Simpson, Director of Drain Doctor Anglia, shared that the franchise was “extremely proud” of anyone who has or is currently serving in the Armed Forces and said that “it’s an honour to serve these heroes as they have served us.”
He explained that by signing the Armed Forces Covenant, it publicly reinforces Drain Doctor’s commitment to treating ex and current armed forces personnel equally and fairly.
“As a business, we have always looked positively at employing former services personnel due to their transferable skills and take a proactive outlook to the recruitment of ex-service people. We currently employ two ex-service personnel and they have been a real asset, as well as being hard-working and reliable. By showing our support, we will hopefully encourage other local organisations to sign up in the future.”
Regional Employer Engagement Director for the MOD, Kristina Carrington, said that the announcement from Drain Doctor was fantastic to hear.

Since 1993, Drain Doctor has been providing emergency plumbing and drainage solutions to people across the UK.
