Bolton-based Walfinch Home Care Agency makes an impact and scoops Women in Business Award

Walfinch franchise
Walfinch Walfinch provides personalised, high quality home care. You don’t need care experience as you don’t do the care work yourself.

9/10 people say that if they need care, they’d prefer to receive it in their own home. An alternative to care homes, Walfinch franchisees address the need to remain independent at home.

Walfinch is not only making great strides in the home care industry but also showing what it takes to run an efficient and successful business in the UK. With the leading company receiving many positive reviews and being selected to the BFA’s Collaboration Station, it’s one of the top franchises to join. And now, Monique Gadd from the Walfinch Bolton & Bury has obtained an award for Outstanding Woman in Care Services in the Bolton Women in Business Awards 2023.

Monqiue emigrated from Cape Town, South Africa, about eight years ago where she had a driver-hire business. With a passion in caring for others, she decided it was time for a change in her career. She moved to the homecare industry, managing her own Walfinch franchise in Bolton & Bury since June 2022.

“Having successfully grown the driver hire business, I decided I wanted to follow a different path; I’m naturally a very caring and nurturing person and sought to move away from a transactional business to something that would be more personally rewarding, and that would give something back to the community.

Having met the Walfinch CEO Amrit Dhaliwal, I was inspired by his drive to revolutionise homecare and decided to acquire the Walfinch Bolton & Bury franchise mid-last year. I am therefore incredibly grateful and honoured to have been recognised at the Bolton Women in Business Awards.”

Monique is now on a mission to grow her company with homecare professionals that share the same vision and passion as she does. Of course, there are plenty of other areas in the UK that need such helpful services as elderly care, convalescent care, support with errands or appointments, companionship through to more specialised dementia care.

If you love caring for others, the time is right to consider running your own Walfinch branch!
