The Travel Franchise has announced its most successful month yet, with April marking record-breaking commission figures across its network. The company’s top-performing franchisees achieved commission rates exceeding 16 percent on individual holiday bookings, and several recorded single sales surpassing £30,000. The business, recently awarded World’s Best Lifestyle Franchise at the Global Franchise Awards for the second consecutive year, also reported a significant rise in total commission payments to franchisees.
Increased Sales and Higher Value Bookings
During April, the average booking value across the network’s 800 franchisees rose 12 percent year-on-year. This growth indicates that members are increasingly securing bookings for more complex and higher-value holidays.
The total commission paid out to self-employed franchisees in April climbed 10.7 percent compared to the previous year, setting a new company record. The momentum from these results, coupled with increased interest in joining, has led to recruitment enquiries and new franchisee signups running 40 percent above the monthly average in the final quarter of 2025.
Accessibility and Support for New Franchisees
One key factor behind the franchise’s expansion is its accessibility to individuals from various professional backgrounds. According to the company, 98 percent of recent joiners had no previous experience in the travel sector. Consultants operate flexible, home-based businesses under the Not Just Travel brand and benefit from access to over 450 suppliers through the Hays Travel Independence Group. Franchisees receive comprehensive training, technology resources, and ongoing business development support.
Paul Harrison, co-founder of The Travel Franchise, emphasized the significance of these achievements:
“This is the strongest individual earnings picture we have seen across the network in some time. When top franchisees are taking 16 percent commission on bookings worth tens of thousands of pounds, it shows what the model can do for people who commit to it. That is what is drawing record numbers of new enquiries. People are looking for a credible, home-based business they can build, and we are seeing them come from every kind of background.”
Streamlined Entry and Continued Recognition
Founded in 2001 by Steve Witt and Paul Harrison, The Travel Franchise is designed to lower barriers to entry in the travel sector. The accompanying Not Just Travel brand supports members with structured induction, supplier partnerships, and a robust technology platform.
Harrison added, “You do not need to have worked in travel before. What you need is the drive to build something of your own, and we provide everything around that. The training, the technology, the supplier relationships and a community of members who back each other.”
Already recognized for its leadership in the industry, the company was named World’s Best Lifestyle Franchise and Best European Franchise at the 2025 Global Franchise Awards, cementing its reputation for providing accessible business opportunities in the travel sector.
