With more than 3,400 colleagues, 1,325 owned stores, and 110 Snappy Snaps franchises throughout the UK and Ireland, our company continues to expand by opening new stores. We offer a wide range of services from photo printing, mobile phone and iPad repair, watch & shoe repair, key & lock, our business ethos is built around providing great customer service. We follow the ‘Upside Down’ management style by giving freedom to our colleagues who serves customers.

This is not evident in the number of services that we offer but in the number of companies that become part of the extended Timpson family. Picture this-- we have either made, sold, or repaired shoes but have become more than just a cobbler. Now, we have become a company of key cutters and repair mobile phones, watches, and even engrave anything.

We do mobile repair, photo processing, and engraving, dry cleaning, and others. You will have an opportunity to be part of a company that continues to grow. At Timpsons, we have a pledge of providing our franchisees with all the resources they need to be successful with their business. On your first day with the team, you will be assigned an Area Development Manager who will serve as your mentor. They will introduce you to the business. As a new member of the Timpson team, you will have a weekly training and as you pass each skill, you will earn a share of the branch bonus pot. A 2-day Residential Course at our facility in Wythenshawe, Manchester will be required. You will also have on-the-job trainings at our Training Centres around the UK.

As we have a strong reputation to uphold, we are very selective when it comes to the individual we will add to the group. As a franchisee, you will be required to have a hands-on approach to managing your business. As a Timpson franchisee, we encourage you to be active in your local community. To be successful, you will need to have leadership and people management skills, good financial acumen, and a willingness to learn new skills. More importantly, we need you to have personal integrity since you will serve as out brand ambassador.

Timpson was founded in 1865 by shoemaker William Timpson and his brother-in-law Walter Joyce. They sold shoes at 298 Oldham Road, Manchester. Eventually, it grew to become a factory in Kettering in 1884 and offered repair in 1903. The company then diversified into engraving, watch repair, dry cleaning, and photo processing.
