Who We Are

Everybody looks forward to a Friday. Aside from being the day that ushers in the weekend, it is also the last working day of the week. And when this day comes, everyone is looking forward to having a great time. TGI Fridays is a name synonymous to fun and enjoyment. We have more than 900 restaurants in 60 countries. Known as a casual dining restaurant, we serve a variety of appetizers, steaks, burgers, seafood, and chicken dishes.

We want to build on our heritage as a bar which is why people go to our restaurant for wine and beer. But we also serve cocktails for our visitors who want a low fat/low carbohydrate alternative. Whenever customers visit one of our restaurants, the first thing that will catch attention is the appearance – red-striped canopies, brass railings, Tiffany lamps, and the frequent use of antique decors. Serving food, beverages, and great fun for more than 50 years now, we are opening our door to individuals who want to carry on our tradition.

Embrace Fridays

We are seeking prime and energetic individuals to become part of our team and promote the business to new neighbourhoods, communities, and markets. With the backing of an iconic brand and the pulling power of our franchises, you can look forward to maximizing the full income potential that a TGI Fridays franchise can deliver.

Training and support provided

After successfully passing the application process, management support starts to kick in. The successful franchisee can get help from a team of experts who have the tools and resources for creating a winning strategy. A team with national and local dining experience will help formulate a tactical plan for driving revenue and achieve measurable ROI. Other support the franchisee will get includes market planning, project management, site selection, and brand standard guidelines. But it does not stop there. Training and assistance is ongoing to make sure you maximize the expected return of investment and ensure your success.

The ideal TGI FRIDAY'S franchisee

Continuing the heritage of TGI Fridays requires commitment and the right skills of the prospective franchisee. The ideal candidate should have a successful multi-unit restaurant or hospitality experience. They should also have the commitment to provide the ultimate customer service experience all the time. Although the total cost of investment may vary, the franchise fee per unit is £38,500. The candidate must have a net worth of £3M and liquid assets of £1M. The right franchisee should be driven to build at least 3 restaurants in specific areas. They will also be undergoing a corporate interview at the UK head office.

TGI FRIDAY'S' history

TGI Fridays was founded by Alan Stillman in 1965. With just $10,000 as capital, Stillman hoped that opening a restaurant would help him meet women. The first TGI Friday restaurant was located at the corner of 63rd Street and First Avenue in New York. Today, it has grown to more than 900 restaurants in 60 countries and still growing.
