How The Simply Ice Cream Franchise Works

As a Simply Ice Cream Franchisee you will selling our award winning range of ice creams and sorbets to a range of farm shops, delis, independent chains, food service outlets such as pubs, cafes, restaurants, ice cream parlours, tourist attractions, independent theatres and cinemas and many more.

Franchisees also have the opportunity to sell our range at events such as farmers markets, local fetes, festivals and more.

Our Product Range

Our award winning ice cream is lovingly handmade in small batches in the heart of Kent. We produce a range of decadent luxury ice creams and sorbets made from 50% double cream, milk and sugar, and then natural additions such as fresh local fruit, homemade honeycomb, artisan fudges, salted caramel and more. There are no additives, preservatives, nasties or any powders or syrups.

The Story of Simply Ice Cream

Simply Ice Cream founder Sally Newall ran a catering business for over 20 years which was in fact the springboard for the leap into the ice cream business. Incredible feedback from happy customers for her homemade ice cream led her to decide to move away from full time catering and concentrate on developing Simply Ice Cream into the successful, premium brand it is today.

From humble beginnings, when the ice cream was sold at one local farm shop, Simply Ice Cream grew in popularity to 16 shops within the first year. Today the range is available in nearly 400 outlets across the south of England including 35 Waitrose stores and this list is growing all the time.

The superior quality and flavour of Simply Ice Cream has been officially recognised and is a multi-award-winning range, including a Guild of Fine Food, Great Taste Gold Three Star award.

The company operates with a strong, core set of values – passion, integrity, excellence, simplicity and naturalness – and has gone from strength to strength since its creation. Sally is continually updating tastes and flavours, but always in keeping with the changing seasons and high standards of Simply Ice Cream.

In keeping with her beliefs that simple, natural food tastes best, she has created a range of ice creams that are made using natural locally sourced ingredients (where possible), home-made flavours, and free from additives or preservatives. Simply Ice Cream is still made the old-fashioned way, by hand in small batches.
