Raring2go franchise magazine

Raring2go! connects parents with local businesses, events and services, providing great ideas on getting out and about as a family. With more than 50 franchisees operating their own local quarterly magazines and websites, we’ve become known nationwide as the ‘Go to guide for you and your child’.

Most of our franchisees had no prior experience in marketing or publishing, and you don’t need it either. We handle the printing and ensure you’re confident on designing through a simple to use template. Our training, support and business model can help you succeed whatever your background.

The flexibility in the business makes it ideally suited to parents, who also know the target audience for their advertisers inside out! You can work the hours that suit life’s commitments: work full-time and maximise your financial rewards, or work 20-24 hours per week and take 13 weeks off for the school holidays. With Raring2go! you really can make your business work around your family.

Franchisees benefit from a fantastic start-up package that’s focused entirely on getting them off the ground quickly. Your investment includes design and print of your first two magazines; no royalties in your first six months; all the technology you need for your business, with full and ongoing training; your own locally-focused website set up and live; and all branded stationery required.

You will make a profit from your first issue – no working capital is required. 

Training and support provided

If magazine and website editing are new to you, then have no fear: the power of our model lies in the support and guidance you can expect from us.

That includes several days of training on everything you need to know on running your business, from sales and marketing, to using the magazine production software, to conquering the art of using social media for business.

With the backing of a passionate ongoing support team here at head office, as well as a friendly and close-knit community of collaborative franchisees, you’ll never be short of proven solutions for any situation you face in your business.


We currently offer to provide the first two magazines and the first 6 months of monthly licence fees as part of our start up.

This is changing:

We will be offering the first four editions of the magazine printed and the first 12 months! This is a huge investment on our part and is designed to give new franchisee’ coming in to Rarng2go! 12 months of financial peace of mind. The value of this re-investment into a new franchisee’s business is over £10,000 (four print runs of a 32 page magazine x 10,0000 copies and 12 monthly licence fees).

Return on investment
A Raring2go! franchise costs £15,995 + VAT and comes with an all-inclusive start up package, so there really are no hidden costs. We are a franchisor with over 11 years’ experience operating Raring2go! successfully in the UK, so we know how tough starting out in business is and how stressful the first year of operation can be.

That’s why we are putting our money where our mouth is and committing to reinvesting over £10,000 straight back in our new franchisee’s businesses. We are doing this by waiving all licence fees for the first 12 months and covering the print costs of the first four editions of a new franchisee’s magazine.

This means that for the first 12 months of trading, new franchisees can focus 100% on building their business, raising awareness locally, developing relationships with new accounts and making money… without the burden or distraction of invoices from head office.

Raring2go!'s history

Raring2go! was taken over by Mojo Publishing in 2006. It was just a year old at that time. We saw a business with incredible potential and a great brand, but one that needed to put the franchise owners front and centre. We saw an opportunity to take a fantastic concept and shift the focus from growth to success and from numbers to people.

As franchisor, we are incredibly transparent, accessible and accountable. Our Managing Director is Freddie St George, who is well known in the franchise industry and has held various positions with the British Franchise Association (bfa) from forum Chairman to committee member. He is very visible on social media and available to his franchisees around the clock.
