To celebrate the upcoming royal wedding, Dunkin’ Donuts has released special edition treats to mark the occasion.
Love is in the air as excitement builds during the lead up to Saturday 19th May, the date that Megan Markle will marry her Prince Charming aka Prince Harry. The royal wedding has everyone talking and Dunkin Donut’s has come up with a unique way to mark the occasion.
Between the dates of May 14th – May 20th, participating Dunkin’ Donuts throughout America will be selling the Royal Love Donut. Customers tuck into the heart-shaped doughnut filled with jelly and decorated with chocolate icing and strawberry drizzle as they get into the celebratory spirit.
The global baked goods chain advertised the new doughnut across social media with the caption ‘First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a #RoyalLoveDonut in a Dunkin’ carriage’. In fact, a real-life Dunkin’ carriage was built to kick off the launch of the new doughnut that paraded through Central Park on May 14th. Carole Radziwill, star of the Real Housewives of New York City, kicked off festivities by taking the official first ride of the day and members of the public were able to perfect their own ‘princess wave’ by taking a seat inside.

Dunkin’ Donuts will also be opening its doors at 5am on the special day to allow customers to get in and buy their coffee and doughnuts before their viewing parties begin.
