The Party Tent Company has recorded a huge increase in customer enquiries after Boris Johnson outlined his plan for easing Covid-19 restrictions.
The Prime Minister revealed his ‘roadmap’ in a televised address on the evening of Monday 22nd February, describing how he would gradually lift restrictions across the UK. Iain Griffiths, franchisor of The Party Tent Company, watched the announcement and soon started receiving customer enquiries for his events franchise.
As soon as the PM had laid out his plans, people were keen to start organising celebrations for summer 2021. Prospective customers continued to get in touch with the business all evening and throughout the following day.
Iain said,
“I couldn’t believe that after a couple of months of the phone not ringing, obviously because of the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, that it didn’t stop all day. Within 24 hours of the announcement, I had invoiced no less than 11 bookings for our Warrington branch (approx. £8,000 in revenue) and had some quotes still outstanding awaiting follow-up calls.”
Iain believes The Party Tent Company provides a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs looking for a profitable post-pandemic business venture. As more and more people organise celebrations at home in order to stay safe and avoid the regulations associated with public places, garden parties are likely to rise in popularity.
