Six months post-investment, a franchisee with The Party Tent Company shared their experiences thus far with the brand.
This franchisee joined The Party Tent Company as a franchisee last October, having previously seen and enjoyed the Founder’s social media posts “for about a year” and having determined that “it sounded like a potentially profitable business idea”. In their words, “The first few months were spent training, not only on the practical side of putting up the marquees, but also on the sales and marketing side. Also, some time is needed to order the required kit and equipment needed to start, so the official launch date was January this year. Since then, I have been getting an increasing stream of enquiries, have put a number of marquees up, and have several bookings in place.”
This new member of the events franchise’s family continued, “Iain’s support has been invaluable in this. With 10 years of experience in the game, being able to tap into his knowledge has been amazing. He has given me an absolute mass of tips and guidance which means I have been able to avoid falling into some mistakes that I would inevitably have done without him. I would conservatively estimate that being part of the franchise will have sped my progress up by 2 or 3 years compared to if I had started a marquee business on my own.”
But it’s not just advice and a sped-up journey to success that you get when you invest with The Party Tent Company. The franchisee explained that they had also received a huge amount of support on the sales and marketing side of things, including receipt of a ready-made website and support with social media platforms. Describing the day-to-day work of running a marquee business, the franchisee said, “It is physically quite hard work, and you need to be happy to work outdoors in all weather. [...] You need to have good customer service skills, but it is also a “happy” business – customers are in party mode and happy to see you.”
If The Party Tent Company and the work conducted by franchisees with this brand appeals, you can invest for a minimum initial amount of £15,000, with a total investment cost of £18,000.
