Dave Underwood, franchisee for TaxAssist Accountants Harrogate, has been with the business since 2001.
TaxAssist Accountants was founded in 1995, and recruited its first franchisee in 1996. Dave joined the bookkeeping and accounting franchise in 2001, and remains a faithful franchisee. Dave’s sister, Val, and Dave’s brother-in-law, John (now retired), also joined the franchise, making it a family affair.
Dave runs the Harrogate branch of TaxAssist Accountants, and looks after the accountancy needs of more than 1,000 clients a year. He’s assisted by seven employees, and his branch is regularly bustling with activity. Reflecting on twenty years in the industry, Dave proudly said that they seemed, “to have gone in the blink of an eye and it feels like only last week when we were down in Norwich on the initial training course.”
“We have been through some different times together over the past two decades, from the banking crisis to Covid-19, but I know we have always had the full back-up of the team at the TaxAssist Support Centre and have nothing but praise for the help and advice I have received since 2001. Without them, I would not be where I am today. I have enjoyed being part of the franchise and working with the franchise team and look forward to more years working together.”
