Snap Fitness in Aberdeen managed to bring in 129 new members with one clever campaign.
The gym franchise in Aberdeen wanted a new way to attract customers, so it launched a video campaign. And the success was unimaginable. By giving viewers a 360° tour of the buildings and facilities, the video drew people in and gave them the information they needed to make the decision. Nick, the facility’s general manager gave the tour, enabling the viewers to get a real feel the gym to find out what they can really expect from signing up.
It was a clever move. Not only did it attract attention, but it saved Nick the time he would have spent showing different people around in person.
Snap Fitness shared the video on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Aberdeen News. By using Aberdeen News’ sponsored ads, they managed to reach more than 30,000 fans, and the video was played over 12,000 times.
Once viewers had watched the video, they were taken through to the landing page where they were presented with the offer of a free 30-day membership, plus the chance to win a full year’s membership.
The franchise expected to gain some traction with the campaign, but they weren’t prepared for the huge response. They managed to get 129 new members to sign up thanks to the video and 30-day free offer.
Snap Fitness offers members 24/7 access to its gyms around the world. Customers can attend any gym at any time, meaning they can visit a Snap Fitness when they are away from home. With the swipe of a membership card, they can use the facilities at any time of day, including overnight. Members also aren’t tied into a contract, and they can attend classes arranged by the fitness instructors.
The franchise was founded in 2003 and grown to become one of the leading health club franchises around the world. There are currently 2,000 Snap Fitness clubs in 18 countries, ranging from 4,000 to 10,000 sq ft in size.
