The leading signage franchise names A.J. Titus as its new president.
A.J. Titus is soon to become the new president of Signarama, the leading brand in the sign industry. He is taking over from Jim Tatem, who has been the president of the company for over 10 years. As Tatem moves over to become president of United Franchise Group (UFG), of which Signarama is affiliated, Titus is stepping into his shoes.
Despite being only 26 years old, Titus has exceptional experience working with the company. He started out selling signs at a local Signarama outlet and went on to become sales manager, working at the company’s headquarters. In this role, he learned a lot about the franchisees, the marketing fund, franchise sales and ran multiple event for Signarama. He says, “the relationships that I have developed over the years with franchisees from across the world have helped make this a natural transition.”
Titus also has an International Business degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University, an MBA from the University of Miami and a Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) certification.
What is, perhaps, most noteworthy about the election appointment is that Titus is the grandson of Signarama’s founder, and the son of the president of United Franchise Group. Signarama is a family-run business and it aims to stay that way. This recent promotion of a third-generation family shows how committed the franchise is at maintaining its family-run structure. It is especially poignant that Titus is just 26 years old; it is likely that he will hold this role for a long time.
It is worth noting that although Tatem is moving on, his role with the family-run business will still be significant. He will now work directly with Ray Titus, the UFG CEO, advising on numerous operations under the UFG brand, including Signarama.
