Andy Barr from Really Awesome Coffee Renfrewshire tells us about his experiences as a franchisee.
Really Awesome Coffee is the fastest growing coffee van franchise in the UK. Andy Barr first arrived at the brand’s head office in Coventry for his first day of training on Monday 23rd March. But due to the announcement of the nationwide lockdown, he, unfortunately, had to get the train back to Renfrewshire.
Throughout lockdown, he followed the journeys’ of other franchisees and observed how they adapted to provide key-workers with its delicious coffee and offer the new home delivery service.
After four months when UK businesses were gradually starting to come alive again, he couldn’t wait to come back to Coventry and finish his training. He launched his Renfrewshire-based franchise at the end of July.
Andy praised the help and guidance from the head office:
“The support and direct contact from Kevin and head office took a lot of stress out of what would have been a complex process had we wished to tackle the entire process on our own.”
He continued: “To date, our time as a Franchise partner with Really Awesome Coffee has been extremely enjoyable. There obviously are challenges day to day, but they come with any business. The tools given to you by head office enable you to run your business in an extremely efficient and profitable way. Everything from ordering supplies to how to make the drinks is explained and delivered in a way that everyone can understand.”
