Radfield Home Care has taken part in a community project to produce a 2021 calendar focussing on hope and faith.

The home care franchise joined forces with a number of other local organisations in Crosby, Merseyside. The initiative was introduced by charity Marine in the Community, which is working alongside Marine Football Club to spread positivity as we go into 2021.

The calendar will feature photographs of 12 memorable moments at Marine FC. Children at local Crosby and Sefton schools have also created pictures to go inside the calendar to reflect its theme of ‘Hope & Faith’.

Merchant Taylors’ School and several local businesses have stepped forward as sponsors, donating prizes and vouchers for the children involved in the project. Radfield Home Care has also supported Marine in the Community in its cafe event, involving a free lunch and a quiz.

All profits generated through sales of the calendar will go to Marine in the Community to help them continue delivering their support throughout the local area. This year, it’s been providing free lunch deliveries for elderly, vulnerable and lonely people.

Paul Leary, Marine FC’s chairman, said,

“This is the best example of how a community project can work. Marine FC, Marine in the Community, Merchant Taylors’, Crosby primary schools, Radfield Homecare and many local businesses got together with a vision to produce a Hope & Faith calendar for 2021.

“The calendar designed, created and printed kindly by Merchant Taylors’ is a high quality production that includes drawings by local primary school children that portrays faith, hope, love, joy, compassion and kindness.”

Marine in the Community Director, Graeme Gardiner, added:

“I am delighted with the outcome of this very special project that involved so many people and children from the local schools. I would like to thank them and the local businesses that helped finance the project. The calendars will be available in the schools and in local shops, as well as the Club shop at Marine FC.”
