Papa Johnís teams up with Taylor Swift
Papa Johnís and Taylor Swift joined forces recently to donate meals to more than 2,000 foster children and their families.
Ahead of her upcoming tour ĎReputationí, Taylor Swift invited over 2,000 foster children to the University of Phoenix Stadium for the chance to hear her music first hand. This unique experience was followed by pizza and treats for all, served up by local Papa Johnís restaurants.
It is thought that Swiftís father is friends with John Schnatter who owns Papa Johnís, which is why the big name was chosen to make the pizzas.
Four local Papa Johnís outlets clubbed together to produce all the pizzas, which needed to be carried on three trucks to deliver them all. Together, they produced 500 pizzas made up of 300 cheese, 100 pepperoni and 100 vegetable, and they also provided plates and napkins. Thatís not all, the feast was followed up with brownies, cookies and sweets.
Swift was so pleased that Papa Johnís had agreed to help out that she gave tickets to some employees of the pizza restaurants to come to the real concert later on in the week.
She had invited children and families through the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents to enjoy the sneak peek at her tour and to enjoy the follow-up feast.
Kelli Dillon, one of the parents, said of the event, ďafter the show, they brought in thousands of pizzas from Papa Johnís, I believe, and they also had trays upon trays of brownies, cookies and goodies. It was the sweetest gesture and for all of us it was an experience they will never forgetĒ.
To continue its support of the association, Papa Johnís has given the families a special promotional code for discounts on pizza for the rest of the year.
The local Phoenix Papa Johnís restaurants that provided the pizzas are just a few of a huge franchise around the world. There are more than 4,600 restaurants in 34 countries around the world, all of which are committed to serving well-made pizza with fresh ingredients.
