My Window Cleaner has won the prize for best emerging franchise at the BFA-HSBC Franchise Awards 2020.
In order to apply for the category, the window cleaning franchise had to submit an application and provide lots of information about the business and its vision for the future. The directors were asked to give a formal, 15-minute presentation - which they completed in 14 minutes and 58 seconds - and take part in an interview with the judges.
Despite widespread challenges this year, My Window Cleaner is pleased to say it’s still been able to nurture brand growth. Hard work and a great team effort have helped the business stay on track.
Pip Wilkins, CEO of the BFA, commented on the franchise’s win:
“Although the company began in 1996, My Window Cleaner has only been franchising since very recently. The business, which has found a real niche in the marketplace, has really started to grow and consolidate the market in territories where it currently operates, which is why the award has been received by them.”
She added,
“There are more franchise systems than ever before, showing that businesses are choosing franchising as an ideal model for them. The fact My Window Cleaner managed to win this accolade when so many new companies are entering into franchising is a testament to the company’s values and culture.”
Andy Brattesani, HSBC’s UK Head of Franchising, explained why My Window Cleaner did so well in the application stage. He said,
“It was fantastic to hear from the Franchisor Emerging finalists and learn about their journey into franchising. My Window Cleaner impressed the judges with its state-of-the-art IT system and innovation.”
My Window Cleaner is extremely excited to pick up the prestigious award, and has said it will not be resting on its laurels in 2021. The franchise is looking forward to further developing its system in the coming months.
