Molly Maid has shared the story of Gill Dawson and how purchasing one of its existing franchises was one of the best decisions she’s ever made.
Gill Dawson purchased her very own Molly Maid franchise back in 2017 and since then, her life has changed immensely for the better. She shared how the experience of owning a domestic cleaning franchise has been challenging but ultimately very rewarding. She’s even been put up for an award for the hard work she’s done over the past two years.
Gill made the finals of the bfa HSBC Franchise Awards in 2018 in the business transformation category for the hard work that she’s put into turning Molly Maid Burton Upon Trent around. The category was introduced to recognise people like Gill who have managed to improve the profitability, growth and efficiency of their business.
In April 2017, Gill purchased Molly Maid Burton Upon Trent from its previous owner, who had struggled to realise the potential of the business opportunity. She revitalised the business by introducing new ways of operating and focused singularly on making a profit within her first year. In just 21 months, she managed to:
- Grow sales by 163 percent
- Increase the number of new customers by 162 percent
- Generate a 12 percent profit
Speaking about the experience, Gill said:
“This has been the hardest but most rewarding career move of my life. I chose franchising because I wanted a business with growth potential but where I also had the support, the systems and the brand awareness a Franchise provides. MOLLY MAID provides all of this, and I would highly recommend it to any individual looking to transform their future.”
Now, Gill hopes to grow her business even more and is looking forward to a profitable future. If you’d like to run your own Molly Maid franchise, find out more by following the link above.
