KFC’s Finger Lickin Good Double Down Burger Lands On British Soil

For those who have never heard of KFC’s latest addition to its ‘finger lickin good’ fried chicken family, the Double Down burger is known for its decadence. Strips of bacon, smothered in melted cheese and barbecue sauce sandwiched between two succulent pieces of the fast food chain’s legendary delicacy – fried chicken. Since there are no buns, the Double Down is low carb and a whole lot of chicken.

Chicken lovers from the US, Australia and New Zealand have already hailed it the best fast food sandwich in the world. The sandwich that has already gained celebrity status will be available for a limited six-week trial period in the UK from next Monday. Innovation Director at KFC UK & Ireland, Jack Hinchliffe says: “There’s been so much excitement for the Double Down since it first launched to the US in 2010.”

“It’s sold out in every country that it’s been released in, so we’re anticipating it’ll be a sell-out success here in the UK.”

The announcement has sparked a KFC fried chicken frenzy that has its fans clucking. One excited customer exclaimed: “The KFC Double Down is finally coming to the UK! OH EM GEEEEEE!”
