First annual Driver of the Year award announced at the Driver Hire franchise.
Grimsby & Scunthorpe Driver Hire franchisees Jayne Anne and Michael O’Flynn have crowned their first ‘Driver of the Year’. Presented on the 4th of May, driver Ian Gordon scooped the award. It was judged on drivers’ ability to meet the award’s tough criteria, which saw them tested on their ability to deliver high performance in ten categories. Ian took the crown after accumulating the most points across each criteria point, after working for the company for just a year.
His reward included a £500 cheque, a voucher treating two to dinner, bed and breakfast in the Ashbourne Hotel’s executive room and an inscribed plaque.
“It was wonderful to receive such positive feedback from our clients about Ian. We are very proud of him and the service he has given to Driver Hire and our clients,” said Jayne Anne.
She explained that when they bought the franchise in 2016, both herself and Michael noticed how committed all the drivers were to their work. Michael added that, “many drivers come back and continue to work with us for several years, which is a great compliment to Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe and the quality of staff we provide to our clients. It is also the reason why we introduced this annual award to recognise the excellence in our workforce”.
Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe hit the headlines of the local papers when it launched its new recruitment initiative, ‘DH Recruitment – Your Partner in Recruitment’. Focusing on supplying permanent staff to its client base, it allowed the franchise to expand its range of services offered.
In additional good news, Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe recently came as a runner up for the DFDS Excellence in Community Award 2018.
Driver Hire has been in business since 1987 and providers driver cover for 4,200 shifts per week, helping to provide reliable workforces to many different businesses.
